Payza Personal Verification: When and How to Get Payza Verified
Payza Verification is not always necessary. Here are the situations that require verification and the ways to get verified.
A Payza account lets you add and withdraw funds to and from your account, send and receive money online, shop on thousands of websites, and exchange cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Some of these activities will need a verified account so it’s good to know when you should get verified and how to do it.
Here are the situations for which you’ll need to be verified:
US Citizens
If your account is registered from the US, you will need to be verified when you sign up. Verification for US members can be completed instantly by matching your profile information to your social security information.
After completing your profile, you will be prompted to provide your SSN to a secure third-party verification system that will verify your profile details. If these details match, your account will be verified. If this method fails, you will need to submit a proof of identity and proof of address that will be verified by our team of account security experts.
Buy and Sell Cryptocurrency
As a Payza member, you can receive and send cryptocurrency without getting verified, but if you would like to exchange your Bitcoin or altcoins into fiat currency, if you want to buy cryptocurrency, or if you want to withdraw Bitcoin to an external Bitcoin wallet, you will need to verify your account.
Limits Reached
If you transact over a certain value, you will be prompted to verify your Payza account. Payza members are recommended to verify their accounts after transacting over $500 USD or equivalent, especially if you have a large transaction planned.
In many cases, if a transaction would exceed your limits, you must become verified before it can be completed. By verifying your account before your limits are reached, you can avoid transaction delays in the future.
How to Get Verified
In most cases, you can verify your account by submitting a proof of identity. Members in certain countries can complete the personal verification process via an automated identity check.
To prove your identity, provide Payza with a copy of a Government-issued photo identification document, such as a passport or a national ID card.
Standard Verification
Follow these steps to get verified:
- In your Payza account, click on your name in the top left part of your account.
- Select “Verification”.
- Click “Document Validation”.
- Select the type of photo ID you wish to submit and upload the file.
- Click “Next”.
- Review the documents and click “Send” to submit.
Special Cases
If you live in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, or Bangladesh, your verification procedure will vary.
United States: Submit your Social Security Number and we will attempt to verify your account through a secure third-party identity check.
United Kingdom: On the Verification Page, attempt the Automated Identity Validation procedure and we will check your information against a secure third-party database.
Canada (recently updated): Along with a proof of identity, you will need to submit two (2) proofs of address, including at least one banking or credit card statement. These proofs of address must be original PDFs from the company or government agency that issued the document (Electronic Original Document).

India: You must submit your PAN card as your proof of identity.
Bangladesh: You must submit your Passport or National ID Card and a picture of yourself (a selfie). The picture of yourself must be different from the picture in your identification document.
